Visit any ArkansasBlue Welcome Center to score a free bottle of sunblock, while supplies last, during National Skin Cancer Awareness Month.

Celebrate women’s health with a block party

Join Arkansas Blue Cross as we take part in the fun at the third annual MOM! block party,  from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 6, outside the Arkansas Department of Health main office, 4815 W. Markham St. in Little Rock. The free event recognizes May as National Women’s Health Month. It will include health screenings, women’s self-care services, nutrition and fitness information, and more! The event, hosted by the Arkansas Department of Health, the Arkansas Department of Human Services, and others, spotlights the free services available to pregnant women, new moms, and babies at Arkansas Health Units across the state.

Free Mental Health First Aid Classes

Due to the strong response over the past three years, Arkansas Blue Cross will offer additional free Mental Health First Aid classes in May in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. Participants who complete the training earn a three-year certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. The classes will all be held from 9:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. You can register here. Strike out stigma

During the month of May, in honor of the upcoming 25th anniversary of the Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas, the Foundation will make donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Every time the NWA Naturals or the Arkansas Travelers baseball teams strike out their visiting team, the Foundation will make a $50 donation.

Homerun fun

Join us at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock on Friday, June 26, for the Arkansas Blue Cross Good Catch and Good Care event, filled with fun, fireworks and favors! Members with a valid member ID card get $3 off admission. Game time is 7:10 p.m. Grab your crew and meet us at the ballpark to cheer on the Arkansas Travelers. The first 2,000 guests will receive a signature baseball.
